connecting to the Internet with Astaro behind a Hardware Router

In my Homenetwork i can’t esthablish a Internet Connection through Astaro since I have changed my Router to a Netopia 3397 for IPTV and VDSL from my ISP Swisscom.

The Computer with Astaro 7.201 installed is connected as follow:

Lan with 2 Computer with IP 192.168.3.2 and 192.168.3.3 both uses IP 192.168.3.1 as DNS Server and Gateway. These Computers are connected with a Hub to the Astaro Interface eth0 with IP 192.168.3.1

DMZ with 1 Webserver with IP 192.168.4.2 use DNS and Gateway IP 192.168.4.1 the Server is connect to the eth2 Interface of Astaro IP 192.168.4.1 

The Wan Interface of Astaro eth1 IP 192.168.1.2 is connect to my Netopia Router with IP 192.168.1.1
The Gateway on eth1 is set to 192.168.1.1.

Unfortunately I can’t set the Router in Bridge mode while in this Case the IPTV Stream was lost, and the DNS of the ISP can’t be received.^

How can I configure Astaro that it use the Netopia Router for the Internet Connetion.

    It sounds like it should be working.

    Have you enabled MASQuerading in Astaro, for the internal network and DMZ?
    Have you created packetfilter rules to allow traffic out?

    And/or, you can also configure the proxies on Astaro to allow HTTP, FTP, SMTP traffic through.

    Can the firewall ping the router, and the internet?

    Have you setup the DNS settings on Astaro?

    I have tried the thing with MASQuerading.Masq is allowd for Internal and DMZ
    Paketfilter Rules for the nessesary Ports HTTP, FTP, SMTP are set to allow Traffic.

    In DNS Setting i have set the IP of the Hardware Router 192.168.1.1.

    The External interface is allways show as Down and i can't ping the router.

    Could you help how i must set the Masquerading Rules and DNS Roles right that it works. Because i don't been familliar with this.

    If the interface is down, that needs to be fixed first.

    Have you tried changing the cable to a crossover or vice-versa?
