Is there a reason Astaro would not be allowing this alternate port? It simply will not connect. Using 7.201.

Lots of reasons. Check your proxy config and/or PF rules.

A good firewall blocks by default.

I am a home user. I set up the http proxy and DHCP. I did not configure any additional things.

Can I allow this somehow?

If there are specifics I will look for them.
