P2P/QoS: cvs (pserver) detected as P2P winny

Hello,

I'm using ASG 7.201 and need to block all P2P traffic in our net.
We have a Site to site VPN with an external office that need to use our cvs server (pserver port 2401).

I enabled P2P control status blocking all protocols.
This configuration detect the cvs traffic as 'Winny' blocking all of this connection from external office.
Same thing appears when QoS P2P - Winny was enabled with upper band limit set to 1 kbits/s, the cvs was limited to ~ 1 kbit/sec...

Is there a workaround (not disabling the Winny check)?

Thanks

  • Since it sounds like you are in a commercial environment, and have maintenance, start a case with Astaro describing the issue in detail; I've reported a similar issue with Winny false detections with RDP traffic.  Unfortunately, the only workaround is to either disable Winny detection, or set it to Log only.
