"does not make sense" alert

i want to limit IM BW to a ridiculous minimum, say, 16kbits

so i went to BW pools, in the dropdown selected my external interface, then new pool, checked the traffic selectors, then guaranteed BW 16kbits and limit BW to the same ammount.

the rule gets saved but when i enable it i get a warning "QoS Bandwidth settings do not make sense."

i've tried changing the limit to 32kbit, same error (the rule gets applied nonetheless). Also tried disabling the upper limit, same.

what am i doing wrong?

Have you set the maximum speed limit on the interfaces on the first page of QoS setup?

Simon,
yes, i have the BW declared on the extenral interface(i already have other QoS rules for VoIP gear in place, could it be that the total of those 2 rules exceeds the declared BW?)
