I have a Windows Home server that is here on my home network. I used it with a Linksys wireless home router for quite some time with no issues accessing its sharing and management website interface, both from the private IPs of my network, and external hosts.
When I installed the ASG 7.* series router to an old computer I had, one of the first things I did was configure the NAT for the HTTP and HTTPS versions of the website on the WHS.
My problem is that I cannot access the site from it's actual URL from an internal host. External hosts can see the site and access both the HTTP and HTTPS functionality, so I know it's not a NAT rule by itself that isn't properly set.
Since my ISP blocks HTTPS on their end, I had to set a custom port in the server to replace port 80 and 443. Those ports appear to properly redirect through the router from the outside, and obviously there isn't a conflict with the User Gateway page. My HTTP proxy is turned off.
Is there some sort of specific rule I need to set so that internal hosts can type in the URL of the server and gain access? I can type in the internal IP of the server, and the pages load fine, but I plan to use the server as an image host for a blog, and I would prefer to be able to see pictures I embed in the blog from my own browser. Hoping it's something simple, and thanks for reading.
