We recently switched our HTTP proxy to transparent mode, which is great for stopping unauthorised access to the net.
However, now all our Skype clients show as offline, and outside Skype instant messages are not delivered to people inside our network, unless someone on the inside initiates contact with an external person. (Then the entire backlog flows through).
SOCKS5 appears to work, but I am worried that if I allow socks traffic staff will then abuse it and use socks for just about everything.
Anyone got a workaround?
