Hi,
I've noticed while surfing the web that dns-resolution of sites is very slow. Sometimes it takes a couple of seconds before the site is "found" and starts to load.
My setup:
Astaro 7:
Network -> DNS -> Forwarders - Set to ISP's primary and secondary DNS servers
MS Win2000 Server with AD:
DNS server and DHCP service
All clients are getting an dynamic ip from the Win2000 DHCP. Clients get the following settings from the DHCP:
Router: 192.168.2.254 (Astaro IP)
DNS Pri: 192.168.2.50 (Win2000 1)
DNS Sec: 192.168.2.60 (Win2000 2)
I've noticed that if i set static ip on my client and set my dns-setting to point to astaro, the dns lookup is quick, as it should be.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to see what's wrong here?
Thanks in advance.
