QoS Over Site To Site VPN v7.xx

Hello.

I have a few questions about QoS Over a VPN tunnel. More spesificly VOIP.
Ive tryed running loads of download while talkin in the phone, but there is no difference with QoS Turned on or off.

hers my setup.
Site 1 10.230.x.x
h323 Gate keepr 10.230.x.50

Site2 10.240.x.x
Clients
Site To Site VPN Works, and Voip works, i just wana QoS it :-)

QoS Setup Site 1
Status
    External:4000 kbits up /4000 kits down / Limit Uplink Off
    Internal: 100Mbit up / 100Mbit Down / Limit Uplink ON

Trafic Selectors
    1: H323 Gatekeeper (Site 1) - Any - Client Site 2 network - No TOS/DSCP
    2: Client Site 2 network - Any - H323 Gatekeeper (Site 1) - No TOS/DSCP

Interfaces
On Internal Interface
    VoIP: Bandwith 1000 kbit/s - Trafic Selector 1 and 2 

QoS Setup Site 2
Status
    External: 2000 kbits up /2000 kits down / Limit Uplink Off
    Internal: 100Mbit up / 100Mbit Down / Limit Uplink On

Trafic Selectors
    1: H323 Gatekeeper (Site 1) - Any - Client Site 2 network - No TOS/DSCP
    2: Client Site 2 network - Any - H323 Gatekeeper (Site 1) - No TOS/DSCP

To Test if QoS Worked i've Tryed to Enable Limit Bandwith to 10kbit/s on each site and Phone threw the VPN, but theres absolutly NO loss in VoIP quality.

Is this a Right setup?
Is there any special thinks to consider when doing QoS over VPN

    i was interested in the same thing! when i'm loading up the connection with traffic, qos works fine on pings to the internet, etc. but through vpn it sux!

    are there certain selectors that work better than others? some firewalls apply encryption before the qos engine which would mean it can't inspect traffic going through vpn. is this how astaro works?

    i've checked everything i could find with qos and vpn and i haven't found any real helpful information regarding actually prioritizing vpn traffic much less prioritizing traffic within a vpn tunnel.

    there's been talk of qos but i it seems that traffic going through the vpn is not even recognized

    Hmm... I can't find it either.

    IIRC, you should be able to setup QOS rules for the VPN traffic itself, on the EXT interface.

    You might be able to setup QOS for the VPN'd traffic on the INTERNAL interface as well.

    Well. Basicly, astaro have no direct support for QoS over VPN.
    What can be done is to setup QoS on the internal network. If you have more then 1 internal netts, you have to QoS them to to preven other internal networks from clogging up your internet connection.( your other internal netts/dmz have no resticted bandwith againts internet and QoS have no effect)
    And When it comes to VPN. You have to turn up AutoPacket Fileter on the tunnel for it to work. Why i dont know, but if its turned on, it ignores the QoS rules for some strange reason.
