High priority/bandwidht for VPN ?

newbie question from ...well, a newbie...

Trying to figure out the best way to achieve a situation were VPN between offices is the no#1 priority for bandwidth usage.

Seems that I could either go for;
1. Traffic selectors and there use; VPN protocols as Service
and then choose high bandwidht,,etc,,

Or;
2. create a bandwidth pool, and then add VPN as service.

Or,, maybe it's a combination of the 2 above that applies.
One thing, that concerns me is how the "reservation" is handled;
if I would as the exemple in the helpfile suggest's, reserve 90% for VPN,
is that the same as only 10% is free for other, or,, that when needed, 90% will always be used for VPN but IS available for other stuff (http,etc,,) if enough bandwidht is free ??


Setup is VPN site to site with ALL beeing Astaro of current version/fw.

    I believe you need both bandwidth pools, and traffic selectors.
    The bandwidth needs to be defined for the external interfaces (the ones the encrypted VPN traffic is going out on).

    Yes, the reservation will not stop other traffic from using bandwidth when the VPN isn't using it.
