Anti DoS and Flooding

TCP SYN Flood Protection.
Mode: Source and Destination Address
Logging: Everything.
Source packet rate (packet/ second): 100 (Default)
Destination packet rate (packet /second): 200 (Default)

UDP Flood Protection.
Mode: Source and Destination Address
Logging: Everything.
Source packet rate (packet/ second): 200 (Default)
Destination packet rate (packet /second): 300 (Default)

ICMP Flood Protection.
Mode: Source and Destination Address
Logging: Everything.
Source packet rate (packet/ second): 10 (Default)
Destination packet rate (packet /second): 20 (Default)

Is this a optimal configuration?
I think I only changed the Mode and Logging.

Reason I asked is because

I never seen this "kick into action" even when I run a No Risk Audit from SecuritySpace which would include DoS scans.

Thus begin to doubt is the values not fine tuned.

Again, just want to maximize every feature.
