What do you do with Ephemeral Ports?

Do you guys allow the ephemeral ports out/in etc?  I dont specify anything for them and I get a few thousand packets dropped as uTorrent tries to use them.  I guess if I am going to block them I should drop them silently with a rule.  Is this what you guys do too?

    For outbound traffic (LAN to Internet) we will often allow access, but whether or not you can do so relies a lot on how much you can trust your users.

    Thanks for the information Drees.  Originally I was thinking that I should block as many ports as possible, however seeing how many programs still use them, and the fact that im really the only user behind the firewall 99% of the time (I guess I trust myself), I think I will try openning them up for outbound traffic and seeing if my performance improves.

    I use eMule and Azureus, and I believe they both only use the ports you've configured in them. (The SOURCE ports for their outgoing traffic, as well as the DEST ports for incoming traffic)

    I do know some other torrent clients don't behave the same way though.
