ftp dictionary attack

We receive a lot of ftp dictionary attacks. Is there a way to make Astaro recognize and block such attacks automatically?

  • Not really; the pattern of passwords / usernames that are used in such an attack would make detection an impossible task.  I recommend upgrading to an FTP Service that supports "anti-hammering", or automatic blocking of an IP after a few invalid attempts.
