IPS will be disabled automatically

Hallo all,

Our ASG 220 is running in brigded mode. Version is 6.311.

On IPS Settings I can change from disabled to enabled. But if I choose networks it switchs back to disabled. Portscan Detection and DoS/Flood Protection can be configured successfully.

Can anybody tell me what's wrong? What's to do for IPS working?

    Hi Scott, hi Jon,

    I talk to our service partner and told him the problem. He said with version 5 IPS must be licensed in a separate way but with version 6 it's integrated.

    Which version was installed at first? I can't say. We got the Astaro with version 6.001 AFAIR. But License is from 12/05/2005. In License file Intrusion Protection is "On" (in WebAdmin too), Start and Stop date are given too but on WebAdmin IPS will not be shown under Up2Date Services...

    Our support partner will call me back.

    Can anbody help with some hints/tricks more. Thanks in advance.

    Hi all,

    I solved the problem by reinstalling version 6.202 and enabling IPS. All updates I did with IPS enabled and now it works.
