QOS VOIP traffic

Hi,

first of all , sorry for my english

I want to install a QOS policy for my voip traffic

My setup : 
Cable  modem : 
download limit : 7000 mbps     
upload limit : 820 kbps

Voip : vonage (d-link vta)  192.168.1.100
My vonage is configured to use 90 kbps

I want to be sure that my phone has a 90 kbps bandwidth when i'm using p2p or  bittorent or whatever that use bandwidth.

Anyone can help me on this ?
I don't understand all those options in QOS tabs (limit uplink checked or not ?,etc.). If someone could tell me what to do step by step.

    I've had problems with my VOIP QOS as well. I've recently upgraded from ASL
    5 to ASL 6 and in the process, I've also done a bit more investigation with my
    VOIP quality issue.

    Overall, it's not the QOS function that's faulty, in fact, it works
    just fine. IMHO, the issue lies with a combination of numbers you
    place in your upload/download QOS settings as well as network adapter
    settings.

    Several things I've looked at:
    1. My phone adapter's QOS settings(for my VOIP)
    2. LAN network setting
    3. Astaro QOS settings.

    I'm currently subscribed to 3MB internet speed.

    Now, starting with my phone adapter, I've set its QOS upload to
    130kbps. 

    I then checked all my network adapter settings, using ethtool, to make sure
    that all of them are running at speed 100, duplex full, and autoneg off. If you
    can't view your adapter's current settings using ethtool, I'd suggest buying a
    different adapter, who knows what kind of setting it's set to? If you have a
    10/100 adapter and can't access it using ethtool or mii-tool, throw it away
    and get another one. Your 10/100 could be set to 10/half without knowing it.

    I also checked my switch settings to make sure all ports are set to the same
    settings. This can be verified by the 100LED on the switch when connecting
    the cable.

    In ASL under Interface, I then changed my "internal" and "external" interface
    QOS settings. It's very important to check and make sure both interfaces QOS
    are set. However, turning on QOS on these interfaces is just half the battle
    into getting a good quality VOIP. You need to set your upload/download to an
    appropriate number and this is where the trick is; getting the right
    combination.

    However, there is help. When you are changing your upload/download
    settings, open an internet VOIP speed test and each time you make a change,
    test it. From my own testing, I've seen my VOIP download speed up to over
    1MB down to a few KB and upload speed up to 200KB and down to a few KB.
    So, it's just a matter of finding the right combinations...but hey, now, you
    know how to do it correctly.

    My VOIP quality is way much better now. Before, I don't even wan't to use
    that darn phone because soon after I pick it up and start speaking, it starts
    to break down. Now, I can speak on the phone and play BF2142 the same
    time...hows that!

    And if you are surfing the net and talking on the phone the same time, you
    may notice a slight delay with your broswing; you know then your QOS is
    working the way it should.
