ASG gets no IP

I am using the latest version of ASG. During install I used the Install wizard to create packet filter rules (internal network -->anyone) for mail and web, intrusion protection etc. The only thing added by me was a dhcp server, since I am on dsl. The problem is that ASG never gets an IP number which means that I cannot get out on the Internet.
I can ping ASG.

Where should I start looking for the problem?

Does your DSL use PPPoE or DHCP?
How do you have the external interface setup?

Have you tried power-cycling the modem?

You may also need to enable Masquerading if that isn't already setup.

I am using PPoE. The external interface setup is:

internal network --> anyone

Masquerading is enabled.
