Access modem web interface whilst in bridge mode.

Can someone please help me work this out?  I have my modem running in bridge mode and would like to keep it that way.  Problem is, I cannot access it's web interface once it's connected through ASL. (To see synch speed etc)

The modems normal LAN IP for admin is: 192.168.2.1

LAN (10.0.10.X) -----10.0.10.1 (ASTARO) PUBLIC IP-----MODEM (192.168.2.1)--INTERNET

I've asked around a lot and people mutter about VLAN's MASQs and all sorts but I cannot find a definitive answer.

Any help appreciated.

    The approach that I use, is to bind a secondary IP address on the Internal interface, and then create a SNAT rule that redirects HTTP traffic for the secondary IP address onwards to the web managed router. I use this approach a fair bit, not only to get web access to devices that are outside the Internal network, but also to get Microsoft Remote Desktop access to Windows machines in our DMZ net.

    I'll give that a go... Why do you need an additional IP though?

    Why not just NAT the inside IP to the web interface?

    How does ASL know to route to the private IP?(Web interface).

    I use additional IP addresses for this because I have many such DNAT solutions, and I assign a DNS name to each on our internal DNS server.

    ASL will route to any address. Just create your host/network derfinitions, and configure your SNAT or route.
