Hello all,
I have problems with the connection to a static IP Adress on a second internet connection, for VPN. Our first internet connection is used for VPN, our webshop and the internet users. Now we ordered a second connection only for VPN.
We use the Astaro Security Gateway V6 and one router (Telefonica) for the first internet connection. Our VPN works with this configuration:
inet (Standard ethernet interface)
on eth1
62.***.***.176 / 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 62.***.***.177
Our VPN connections works over the telefonica router too and use the following connection.
zweite_externe_ip_adresse_181 (Standard ethernet interface)
on eth4
62.***.***.181 / 255.255.255.0
Gateway: none
Now we got a second router (M-Net) with the following configuration:
Static Net: 88.***.***.160 - 88.***.***.167
Router: 88.***.***.161 255.255.255.248
LAN IP: 10.0.0.138
Subnet LAN: 255.255.255.0
We want to connect with VPN to this firewallinterface:
dritte_externe_ip_adresse_162 (Standard ethernet interface)
on eth6
88.***.***.162 / 255.255.255.248
Gateway: none
We can ping the router 88.***.***.161 but not the 88.***.***.162.
The M-Net technician get a ping back if he send it directly from the router to 88.***.***.162. The Router shows the connection to 88.***.***.162 too.
He said, that we need one second Gateway for this second connection, because the firewall can't answer the ping over the internet in this case, but the firewall allows only one gateway.
Is there any opportunity to connect to 88.***.***.162, from the internet, without any second gateway?
Thanks for your help
Tobi
