Quality of Service (QOS) in V7

I've defined selectors and pools for my VOIP traffic, RDP, SSH, etc.

For everything else, e.g. http, P2P, ftp, etc., if I don't have pools, are they balanced against each other, or could P2P take over if I don't set a limit on it?
I'm not using the http proxy, fwiw.

BTW, searching the forums for QOS doesn't work (too short, I suspect).

while that is a good question, i would say that regardless of the answer, I would severly downgrade the priority of P2P traffic so that it is only active during idle moments.

You can't really 'downgrade' anything; all you can do is set a reserved minimum.

acording to the docs, if you create a traffic selector for it and put it last on the list, it gets less priority. you could also minimize bandwidth by setting a cap on top of that, but i am sure you already knew that.

Yeah, I don't really want to cap things too much, as I'd like them to use the bandwidth when it's available (e.g. when we're not using the VOIP phone, etc.)

Thanks for the tip about putting things last... I forgot about that.

It does seem though that I need to try to create selectors for all traffic to be sure, unless there is a default selector somewhere that balances 'unselected' traffic.
