iTunes Video and 100% CPU

When I download videos to itunes on my Mac, my astaro CPU utilization jumps to 100% and the whole network bogs down as a result.  I use Astaro 7.002 in my home connected to a cable modem.  Astaro is running on an old desktop PC: 
Pentium III (Coppermine), 600 MHz
377MB RAM 
12GB Hard Drive
NIC: Accton EN-1207D Fast Ethernet Adapter
NIC: Accton EN-1207D Fast Ethernet Adapter
NIC: IBM 10/100 Ethernet Server Adapter

This isn't a a very powerful PC, but I thought for a firewall running on Linux, this would be more then enough for a small home network.  Is there some setting I can adjust to reduce the CPU load?  Could it be a bug with Astaro and this type of traffic.  

I have the dual virus protect on.  For HTTP I have basic user authentication enabled.

    Do you have the IPS enabled (intrusion protection)?
    Or P2P or IM scanning?

    I recently learned that leaving Local Networks blank in the Intrusion Protection setup is a CPU bomb waiting to go off.

    Once a little-larger-than-usual load hits the Astaro, it gets too busy "thinking" to let anything through.  My customer had to power-off several times over a period of a month until we found that box had been left empty.  Now, we have no problems.

    Make sure you have "Internal (Network)" in the "Local Networks" box!

    That's good to know.  Fortunately, I already had this setup with Internal (network) in the Local Networks box.

    Ver 7.0003 seems to be better, but Astaro will still go to 100% when d/l itunes stuff.

    Can we clarify if it is the HTTP Proxy at fault.  What happens if you turn the proxy off and rerun the download test?

    IPS should not affect an iTunes download

    Please also post the HTTP Proxy logs for us to look through to see what it is trying to do

    I have my mac added to the Transparent mode skiplist and the CPU still goes to 100%.  Is adding the mac to the Transparent mode skiplist do the same as turning proxy off?

    I disabled HTTP Proxy in the global tab.  At first I thought you might want me to just use transparent mode, but I just left everything the same an clicked the disable button.  I was not able to get to the internet with my browser, even when I unchecked the proxy settings in the browser.  I assumed iTunes wouldn't get out to the internet either, but I was wrong.  iTunes had no problem.   The CPU did NOT climb to 100% like it usually does.  It only got as high as 40% then back to 17% when I was done.  I downloaded both video and audio in iTunes and it worked fine with Proxy disabled.

    After I turned HTTP Proxy back on, I downloaded some more itunes files and opened up the live log windows.  You asked for the HTTP Proxy logs, but I didn't see a log called HTTP Proxy.  I've attached HTTP daemon and HTTP Content Filter.  The CPU want up to 100% during this test.

    192.168.216.100 is my PC
    192.168.216.68 is my Mac with itunes
