What rules are missing?

on the dashboard of my system is states  Intrusion Protection is active with 3760 of 4382 patterns.

Under IPS I have all the options selected and for drop also.  I tried changing some of the IM/p2p settings and they didn't change the numbers either.  

Whats the difference in number of patterns used and is it of concern?

    There is a bug with the number of pattersn shown in the dashboard... at least on mine... It's been reported to Astaro.
    Also, if you didn't check the "additional warnings" checkboxes, those are separate rules too.
