IDS still running even though disabled?

I have IDS turned off, however, I am still seeing events in the logs.  Why? Or is IDS still running.  I am running ASL 7.002.  Thanks.

    Do you have P2P or IM filtering on?  Those both use the IPS to work... so it would still be running, even if the IPS menu shows that it is off.
