Internal (Broadcast) packet filter rule

I have Astaro v7.  When I installed it, it built the following packet filter rule:

Source: Any 
Service: Any
Destination: Internal (Broadcast)
Action: Allow

What does this rule do?  Is this rule safe?

    It just keeps internal broadcast traffic from getting logged on the firewall.

    Since it's internal LAN traffic, the firewall wouldn't be able to do anything to it anyways, so there's not much point in recording it.
