No external connection...

Hello,

Just installed Astaro V7.

Using with 3 nic's.

Currently just trying to setup and configure it with 2 nics; 1 for the LAN and the other for the WAN.

I am behind an ADSL router (livebox).

I have configured my nics as follows:

LAN (which I use for the webadmin interface) 192.168.0.100
WAN 192.168.0.2
The ADSL router has 192.168.0.1

I have set the GTW to 192.168.0.1

My ADSL modem (router) has now been configured to send all trafic to the 192.168.0.2 as DMZ

Problems:

I have no connection to the outside (no internet) for any of my internal clients.
my internal clients don't see each other (no pings).

Only the Astaro machine is capable to send emails out.

Has any one an idea about my issue?

I have to admit, that I am not an expert but not a novice either , but have read through the documentation and have not found any answer to my problem.

    Hmmm.

    Does this mean I have to separate eth0 and eth1 from being on the same subnet?

    I'm not terribly familiare with the livebox, but if its a ADSL modem you should be able to configure the WAN interface on the astaro to use PPTP protocol.

    Or, if the Livebox is a ADSL router (With DHCP functions?) why not enable DHCP and setup the Astaro WAN to use DHCP.

    Either way you need to setup NAT and default packet filter on the astaro to get traffic to pass (basic instructions are available in the online help features on the firewall).

    thank you for all your help.

    Well, it is now working. Problem was having the LAN and WAN nics configured on the same subnet. Shame on me!

    I also replaced my LiveBox with an ol good Linksys adsl modem/router.

    Now I have other issues:

    I can't get in ;o)

    Hi every one,

    than kyou for all your help.

    It is now working.

    Had both LAN and WAN nics on the same subnet. Shame on me[:@] 

    Now my other issue, I can't get in from the outside [:S] 

    Have configured my NAT to route ftp trafic to the coresponding FTP server
    in my LAN. But nothing happens, I don't even see anything about any packet drops  on the security gtw.

    Any ideas?

    Btw: have replaced my LiveBox with an old good linksys ADSL-modem/router, working fine, and I can manage it from my work.
