NAT Problems

Hi all,

I just got ASG v7.002 on my home (using the new v7 license  that seems to allow all proxy's to work with AV) and configured my torrents NAT's (actually using 3 clients: utorrent, azureus, transmission) and noticed that i'm getting on my PF log a lot of default drop packets for my nated destination (the ports are 9080, 9090, 48425) even if some are nated correctly...

Does anyone has a similar situation??

CPU: AMD Geode 1400
RAM: 512 MB
HD: 80 GB

    Try eliminating two of your Bit Torrent clients, and run with just one. This is what most people do. Running multiple Bit Torrent clients on a single Internet connection is a bad idea. A Bit Torrent client, unless it is bandwidth limited, will easily consume all the broadband bandwidth you have available, both inbound and outbound. With three clients competing for the available outbound bandwidth, you are bound to get dropped packets.

    An advanced Bit Torrent client such as Azureuz allows you to set bandwidth limits within the client.

    Actually i got all of them limited, both azureus and transmission use for upload 3Kb each and for downloads uses 10Kb's each in the case of u torrent i also got a similar situation (3Kb up 10Kb down).  I tried using only one torrent client but the situation continues....

    Remember NAT becomes befor the PF rules.  Are you sure your PF rules are setup to forward the Un Nated packets back to your host.

    Please can you post your DNAT and PF rules
