Interface for Subnet within subnet

We are using the IP Range x.x.x.32/27 (30 hosts) with Ethernet Interface eth0 (x.x.x.33) on Astaro Frirewall
Now we have purchased the complete range of IPs x.x.x.0/25(126 hosts)
How can we use the new range of IPs which also include the old 30 hosts.Do we have to create an additional Ethernet Interface eth1(x.x.x.1) on the firewall or we can use the existing IPs with the new IPs without adding any new interface.

Just change the subnetmask in the interface settings (eth0)

If i change the subnet mask on eth0 interface then do i also need to change the subnetmask of all the hosts which is on production system.

Or should i create an additional address on the interface eth0(x.x.x.1/25) and keep the existing interface eth0 (x.x.x.33/27) so i dont have to change the subnetmask on the existing 30 hosts.

....x.x.x.33/27 (x.x.x.33-62) is part of x.x.x.1/25 (x.x.x.1-126) so you would have the same problem.

You can divide the /25 in many /27s subnets.....e.g. x.x.x.0/27 (0-30), x.x.x.65/27 (65-94)......

Does this mean that i need to add 3 more new interface on firewall if i divide the subnet.
for example i have the interface x.x.x.33 for x.x.x.32/27 subnet,if yes this means i need to add 3 more new virtual interfaces
x.x.x.1
x.x.x.65
x.x.x.97

Yes, this works but remember that hosts in different subnets have different default gateways and this could make troubleshooting sometimes very hard... [;)]
