This seems a bit odd but I've been doing some downloads using rsync which is downloading at around 8Mb/s. That's nice and speedy but I figured I wanted to use QoS to make sure my other traffic has precedence. IVe set up some simple rules around Web and rsync traffic and found that restricting the upper limit of traffic doesn't do anything.
I decreased the upper limit until it was basically zero yet my traffic keeps humming along at 8Mb/s,
Does anyone know of tools one can use to check whether this protocol is being implemented correctly?
