video iChat

Hi all,

I'm trying to get video iChat to work across our Astaro Security Gateway 320. (version 6.303). The text chat works fine but video chat hangs up. I found this article on Apple for details.

The only way I can get it to work is to setup a NAT rule that takes any incoming traffic aimed at the iChat ports (5060 and 16384-16403) and translates the destination address to my internal IP address. So this means that my machine is the only one it works for. I'd love to find a way to make it work for everyone on campus.

did you try enabling the SIP proxy?

ASG V7 has an improved VoIP supports, which includes SIP which is used byt Apple iChat

I have tried the SIP proxy, no luck there.

I haven't looked at V7 much, though that does sound promising. I don't see it under up2date, is it released?

Hi

It has indeed been released, however due to the number of great, IMHO, features you need to reinstall using a new ISO build.
