Hi,
I have two public address and one is register as a public mail server. So, when I send mail, this one should be used because some mail server check the registration.
I set on the wan interface one of my ip address (not the one for mail) and as an alias the second ip (for mail).
To set outgoing mail with the correct ip, I make a SNAT rule in NAT/Masquerading. If source and service is my mail server and smtp, I change source for my public alias (the public ip register in internet for mail).
It dont work, I think it's because of smpt filtering. So, I try to change source when the ip is the public ip that are not register for mail server. So, it should fix the source for the public ip register as mail server, but no.
Astaro seem to send smtp randomly thourgh the two ip public, sometimes the good, frequently the bad.
Because of that, we can't send mail to aol or noos and all mail server that check the internet registration of sender.
As I have no response from Astaro support, I delete my alias and change wan ip for my mail server public ip, it solve my problem but it's really not what I want.
I don't see why I have this problem and it's boring me.
A++
