How to define a bit of a network

Hi,

my network is 192.168.2.0/24.
My need is to define a range from 192.168.2.50-100/24.
How can I achieve this.
Adding 50 hosts and adding them to a network group cannot be the solution.

Any idea?

May the Soloution is Subnetting...

You can build up a Subnet and the DHCP Server manage the ips...

Build up 6 Subnets. In every Subnet you can define 64IPs... Than you'll use the range: 192.168.2.64-127 / 27

Always wanted the ability to define a range in ASL like this, it would be quite useful. Unfortunately I know of no easy way...

Hi,

Why you don't define your subnet as Red Raven say in the astaro. It will only serve this subnet because other @ip is not on the same lan. If you only define subnet on astaro, you will have no need to make route in your lan.

In fact make a subnet is like making another network.

Hi,
My need is to define a range from 192.168.2.50-100/24.
Fifty to one hundred. That is two very odd numbers in binary. Keep in mind that the bits in the IP address netmask operates by powers of two. It is therefore much simpler to define an IP address subnet range from 128 to 255 (netmask 255.255.255.128, or 0xFFF8, or /25).
