ASL 6.302 - Outgoing Mails are very slow

Hi all,

since i have updatet to Version 6.3xx i have some probs with sending mails over GMX, Web.de etc.

Thunderbird will show a progress bar an then it do nothing for aproximately 10 seconds, then it sends the mail with the normal speed i have in ASL 5.xxx.

Have anyone an idea, why Thunderbird and other Mail clients on ASL 6 will wait so long, befor they can send the mails?

I think they try a connection to the smtp server, and then wait for a time out, befor try again. But when this ist true, why the first connection will failed?

    Which SMTP server are you using?  I would use ASL's...
    No need to use remote servers...

    i will send mails via GMX oder Web.de. I dont have an SMTP Server on my side. To send Mails via Web.de i musst use the Web.de Mail Server (SMTP or IMAP), for use GMX i musst use the GMX Mail Server(SMTP or IMAP) etc. so i cant use any other Mail Server on my side.

    I changed nothing in my email programm, and with ASL 5.x i have no problems.

    But since i´m, updatet to 6.3.x the sending off any email are very slow. I try to send it with a lot of email services (GMX,Web.de, Hotmail, Lycos, Yahoo, Google Mail etc.) via SMTP or via IMAP and it is allways the same problem. ASL 6.3xx slow down the sending, and i have no idea whats the problem.

    Thunderbird is configured to use SMTP after POP3, and it works without problems, before i changed to ASL 6.x.

    I then tried to use authentication in Thunderbird, but without resolving the problem.

    In ASL 5 the sending from an email will take 0,5 seconds.

    In ASL 6 it takes 12-15 seconds for the same mail [:(]

    Which options musst be changed in ASL 6, so i can send emails so fast as in asl 5.x?
