How to get IRC working from school

Hi

I am trying to get connected to IRC from school. They are blocking all outgoing traffick exept HTTP(80)

SSH works though..
So can I use DNAT/SNAT to redirect SSH traffick to an IRC server, and change the service to IRC?

Or, If I set up a bouncer on my local server, and redirect SSH from the external adress to another port on the local server?

So that my firewall works like a proxy of some kind..

I have tryed the SOCKS proxy, but school blocks that aswell..
