VLAN interfaces

Hi all

I am looking to implement an v6 ASL box with ~20 internal VLAN interfaces on gigabit hardware in a true mission-critical (99.98% uptime) environment.

So far I have proved the config works in a test environment.

Can anyone comment on the reliability or robustness of the VLAN system in the Astaro's?  I have been using ASL for years and am confident in the system itself, but have not used the VLAN stuff before.

Any comments, positive or negative, would be very much appreciated.

    I use Vlan in my config ASG 220 and it work but with low performance in rooting mode and with error on my cisco catalyst dot1q interface... so I use it for Internet in publique area... for internal rooting and security I make vlan on cisco catalyst switchport mode access (only 1 Mbit/s between 2 vlan interface)

    20 interfaces make a lot off astaro interface. Use intel quad gigabit or silicom interface http://www.silicom.co.il

    Throughput is greater than the link size (!?) - ie a 100mb link from the switch to the ASL allows me to move data at >130mbps (depending on protocols and IPS configuration).
