Can anybody help me, for some reason our firewall is not realsing its cache when I remove Network Interfaces.
the story goes like this, We have a range of public IP addresses which point to various websites etc, I have recently tidied up the rules and removed all interfaces that are no longer in use, which has freed up some previsouly assigned IP addresses.
So for example IP address 10.10.10.1 used to point to web site A,this web site is nowing sitting at 10.10.10.8 and has been for some time, so IP addr 10.10.10.1 is now avaiable for use again.
Today I have assigned IP addr 10.10.10.1 to a new web site (we'll call this web site B) all the interfaces, networks etc have all been setup correctly, however when I come to browse IP addr 10.10.10.1 it is being resolved back to web site A (which it used to point to) so in affect 10.10.10.1 and 10.10.10.8 resolve to web site A so I cannot access web site B
Can anybody tell me why the firewall is not refreshing itself with the new information.
To double check I have moved web site B to IP addr 10.10.10.3 as this address has not been used before and the site can now be browsed OK. I have removed all references for addr 10.10.10.1 from the firewall, but intrestingly if I type in 10.10.10.1 in my browser it still points to web site A.
This seems very odd.
