Strange behaviors after upgrade 6.203 to 6.301

Hi together,

last friday we did upgrade from 6.203 to 6.301. After that we determind some strange behaviors. First Example, a standart Remote Console from internal Network to a Windows server inside the DMZ wasn't possible anymore. Second, a NAT rule to block and redirect SMTP connects to/from the SMTP-Proxy to a second SMTP-Server was also not possible/droped. 

No warning mails are generated, so we have a deep watch into the IDS Log-Files to find out the strange things [;)]

Maybe it helps someone to catch problems early!

    Do you have IPS enabled. If yes, disabling it would solve this problem. I have noticed it stopping emails and other traffic without discretion. HTH[:D]

    Hi Billybob,

    Disabling the IPS should not the way to get it working again. Snort allways doing a good job for us. I reinstalled our Astaro FW back to V 6.203 and thats it. Hope the next Up2date will make it working normal.

    Maybe not, but without trying it to see what the cause of the problem was, we'll never know if IPS was indeed the problem, which you could then relay on to Astaro in a trouble ticket.

    Without a trouble ticket, Astaro has no way of knowing what may or may not be broken.
