Load Balancing issue

Hi all,

just setup 2 new servers behind the ASL and added a new load balance rule as described in the manual.

In packet filter rules access to these to servers is allowed.
It all works well but in packet filter live log I only see packtes from the internet arriving at only on server. The other is not being hit.

Both have not really load. It´s only a test lab at the moment.

What can I do?

    It probably wont do the load balance until the first port is maxed.
    That doesn't make any sense at all. How does Astaro know when a port is "maxed"? The NAT load balancer should evenly distribute new requests to each load-balanced server.

    Alex, how are you testing? Have you tried from multiple hosts?

    Dear Friends,

    As I understood that V6 does not support load balancing, for this reason I get a 3rd party LB Router. Which does not prove satisfactory.

    Currently I am using the Policy-Based Routing which I like very much.

    Granted I don't think the Astaro load balancer is very smart and I have not actually tried to use it, but it does have one!



    What load balancer did you buy, and how do you like it?

    Hello,

    I bought the DI-LB604 from DLINK, it looks like it is its first release, I did not like it much but it was the cheapest router. There is also the MicroNet SP890.

    Currently I am not using it, since it needs to handle the DNS resolving. Which makes too much trouble in my network.

    I am fully satisfied with the Policy-based routing.

    That load balancing looks new...  Don't remember it being an option before.  Interesting.

    Could this be used to load balance outgoing traffic by making a network group of interfaces?
