Restarting PPPoE

I have a Ham Operator nearby, who is blasting the neighborhood. One of the ramifications seems to be my DSL line will lose sync. (happens every time he comes blasting thru my computer speakers). Is there a way to restart the PPPoE connection from the command line? Would this be the same thing done by the auto-restart? If so, I suppose just shortening the restart timeout from 900 to 60 seconds would be a better way to go?

Or just change something in the pppoe config via gui, normaly it will restart pppoe and do a "redial".

The 60 seconds depends on the provider, but of course you can try. Some providers tend to deactivate the account for 24 hours if there are to many unsucessful attempts.

I'd report this guy to the FCC. There are rules and regulations to avoid this type of thing. He's plainly running equipment outside of his original permit/license. If not, the FCC will find no wrong doing and no harm done.

Yep, call the FCC.. he can't cause interference with his equipment, even if he's licensed.

Duh. I was looking at Nimmdirkeks. Perhaps I should look more before I speak/post.
In that case. Definitely call the FCC.
"Regulierungsbehörde für Telekommunikation und Post" probably wouldn't care much.
