authorisation problem

Hello,

we have a conferenceroom in our company. In this room the customers should only access the internet and email. If a coworker from our company is in this room, then he must authorize itself to the Firewall (Astaro Security Gateway 220) and thus access into our "productive segment".

We have this scenario for some time with a Netscreen 5XT in the employment.
This is to be replaced now by the Astaro.

Is it possible to differentiate a coworker Notebook and a Customernotebook with  astaro and obtain thus different policies?

Do you have a solution? We cant find any option in the Astaro Security Gateway 220..

    Hello,

    You may want to consider enabling an additional interface on your ASG220 (en2) and configuring it as a DMZ and create appropriate rules for the services you wish to provide to customers (eg, HTTP, POP/IMAP). You may enable VPN access on the ASG220 to allow your coworkers to authenticate and gain access to the internal network.
