Severe TCP problems after up2date

Hi, Last night I updated from 6.104 to 6.201.

Since then, TCP performance has been horrible from some networks (not all).

We have IPS disabled and are not using any of the proxies.

The firewall is only protecting our webserver and mail server, and almost all traffic is initiated by the web users.

What changed between these versions that could affect TCP performance so severely, and why is it only happening from some networks?

Pings and traceroutes are fine.

Thank you,
Barry

  • Did you enable the Common Criteria option(s) that are now in 6.2xx?  If so, your issues lie with that... the additional protection it enables in the packet filter options cause a LOT of problems, so I ended up turning those things off.

  • No, Common Criteria is off.

Apparently it was just a network issue with 2 different ISPs, which coincided with when I did the updates [:P]

    Thanks,
