I guess you use the HTTP Proxy. If yes, you have to update to latest version and use the "Skip Source/Destination" under the HTTP proxy configuration. There seems to be an issue with Guide download and the Squid-Proxy of Astaro.
In order to get it to download -and- Windows OneCare Anti-Virus to update, I had to take the proxy out of "Transparrent" mode and set it to Standard Mode. Once I configured the browsers via Group Policy to use the proxy, all things started to work again. I would prefer Transparent mode buy will live with this until there is a fix.
I am now running version 6.2 and I did allow the PC to by-pass the proxy. I was in hopes that I could make this work transparently as I like the idea of having that machine protected. Since it is MediaCenter, I do not run anti-virus or spyware applications on it. It is kind of "out there".
Any other thoughts? Windows OneCare Antivirus updates also fail. Bummer!
That worked - but I also had to add the PC in the bypass list. Wierd...
So the machine is in the bypass list, proxy is set on the browser, it blocks bad content (kids) and it does download the guide without issue.
I should note this also works for an additional PC on my LAN that is using Windows OneCare. With the above configuration it gets the updates while blocking bad sites and when you download, Astaro virus scans. Cool!
