I am trying to troubleshoot an upgrade issue.
I have a 4.0 setup and need to upgrade to 6.0
Since 6.0 doesn't accept 4.0 backups I created a 5.0 version in vmware to do the conversion. I replicate the same number of interfaces in my vmware setup and the conversion of the backup goes fine.
I now attempt to take the 5.0 backup of the config and restore on 6.0 - that looks to go fine with the message about transparent or bridging. I go with transparent.
After the upload of the config all internal network to network routing is fine but any NAT translation from inside network to outside doesn't work and outside to inside doesn't work.
Has anyone been successful with this type of upgrade. I am afraid I will have to recreate all my NAT rules which in this config is quite extensive.
