Astaro with two internet connections

Dear Friends,

I have two internet connections that I need to connect them via ASTARO to our LAN.

Is it easy by using another Network Card ? Or to needs extra configuration.

    I only have HTTP access. How can I use the same proxy for the two connection ?

    Is this what they call it "Load Balance" ?

    This function is not built in. The only thing you can do is split your outgoing proxytraffic by dividing the traffic by ip destination.

     Have a look at /reporting/http proxy usage reports/day/topsites/  and than distribute the traffic sensitive URL's ( by ip range) on different  internet connections.

    e.x. www.astaro.org => 212.126.210.204 => internet connection 1

    www.ebay.com => 66.135.192.123 => internet connection 2

    ....and i think it is better to use complete subnets and not only single ip's.

    But be carefully because there is no automatic failover if one internet connections dies ! [;)]

    No....."With the Load Balancing function, you can distribute incoming service traffic to several backend machines...."

    This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you Claus. Here is our setup. If anyone has tips on how they feel we should divide up our net traffic I would appreicate it.
    Two Pipes in.
    1 - T1
    1.5 mbs up and down.

    1 - ADSL
    7 mbs down, 768k up.

    I am thinking of sending all download traffic through the dsl and any uploads through the T1. I would certainly entertain other ideas. Thank you all for your help.
