vpn + other route

hallo everybody!

fist of all i want to say: i am not an expert in astaro linux security. my english is also not perfectly  [:$] 

 we use astaro linux security version 5. 

i have following problem:

we connect via vpn to our company network. that works perfectly. out network is for example 192.168.1.0.

we have a router in our network to connect to another company. the router has the ip adress 192.168.1.1. if i connect with vpn to our network, i am not able to get access to the another company, which we can reach through the router (192.168.1.1).


i tried to add a route. as source i chose the vpn user and the target network was the 192.168.1.1. I defined the 192.168.1.1 in the definitions as network. since i made this change i am not able to get access to the ressources of our company or of the remote company. so i does not work.

maybe someone could help me. it`s very important that this feature works. i hope i could explain the problem enough!

    If all your local networks are using the same 192.168.1.x address range, then you are bound to end up with routing problems. Try renumbering one or more of your LAN subnets to something else, such as 192.168.123.x

    192.168.1.x is a subnet number you ought to avoid if you are using VPNs. It is far too common, and is therefore the most likely net number to cause routing problems.

    the 192.168.y.x address range allows for 256 different class "C" subnets, from 192.168.0.x to 192.168.255.x  Use your imagination, and pick something other than 0 or 1 for the third octet. For IP routing to work, the primary requirement is that all the subnet numbers are different from each other.
