Transparent (Bridging) 6.1

Hi there, I'm trying to setup transparent mode on this software and am having little success.  For some reason I can ping from inside to outside but the firewall cant ping any of the inside ips.   I'm testing this on a local lan, and have a client infront and behind the firewall.  Are there any tricks to setting this up?  Where do you put any rules for port forwarding?  All i seen was packet filtering, and it didn't actually ask for the servers IP to forward the port too..

    Further notes, when you activate both nics before switching to transparent mode, you lose access.  Ideas please?

    I don't believe you would do forwarding in transparent mode.

    I believe you do still need to setup up PacketFilter rules.

    Both clients need to be on the same subnet for it to work in transparent mode.

    you definately have to setup packet filter rules...astaro would be useless instead

    NAT for Port forwarding as well, but you do not map interfaces, only ip's.

    So if you want to use it as a bridge with no firewall functionality add the allow "any any any" rule. But beware, any is too many :-)

    Port Forwarding you should tell what you want to have forwarded, a service? make public a computer? a service group?
