Problem with setting up FTP access

Hi everyone,

I think I now have the hang of basic set ups for the V6.0 Firewall, however there's one thing that is now giving me some grief...  I'm trying to set up FTP access to an internal server but for some reason the packets are still getting bounced...  are there any known difficulties in getting FTP setup by any chance ?
- I set up a DNAT rule as indicated below:
Any -> FTP_Access (Address) / FTP   None   FTP_Server_Private 
- I set up the packet filter as indicated below:
FTP_Access (Address)   FTP    FTP_Server_Private  

This should be a pretty straight forward set up, should it not ?  I'm following pretty much the same setup strategy as I am for by web server (which works).
I'm probably missing some crucial details here, so if anyone requires any further info, please ask.

    There is a NAT helper for FTP that should help. 
    IIRC, it's in PF - Advanced.

    Also, don't forget PF rules to allow FTP.

    Hi Barry,

    Thanks for the reply...  I actually got it to work !  When I configured the packet filter, I had the source set to the external address that is specified for FTP.  When I changed it to 'all'. it started working !  Is there a reason why setting the source to an IP wouldn't work ?
