[6.100] Configuration of Intrusion Protect. broken

I just installed V6.100 to my Firewall.

I cannor configure IPS. If i enable Intrusion Protection the Selection for the internal networks appears. If i select a network and press the ADD button, the page reloads and Intrusion Protection is disabled again. Even double click doesn't work also.

The same with anormaly detection below.

BUG ?

    That's related to your browser. Make sure JavaScript is enabled. What type of browser do you use? Please test with MS Internet Explorer and Firefox with default configuration.
    Also it might help to flush your browser's cache.
    Do you connect through any kind of proxy to the webadmin?

    Hi,
    on my ASL it works. Please check the right of the file /etc/wfe/conf/ips_settings. Should be 644 and owned by wwwrun:nogroup.
    If the rights are not the same like mine, please change it with:
    chmod 644 ips_settings
    chown wwwrun:nogroup ips_settings

    I had a similar problem with definitions when trying to add a time definition. It was partly configured, I couldn't change it or delete, so went back to a previous known good configuration and reloaded it.
    Re-started the definition additions and that worked okay, no further problems.

    I have noticed that some of the pages are not as responsive as there were under v6.001 eg takes a while for data to be displayed, almost like the machine is overloaded, which mine isn't. CPU load mostly around 0.2.

    I you have a back up copy of your configuration load that and see  what happnes.

    Exactly this was the problem. Owner was set to root:root
    Maybe because i restored a Backup after installing.

    Hmm, I also restored a backup. But there was no problem. What was the version of you machine your created the backup on?

    Have got exactly this problem with IDS on 6.102.  Have raised a fault request with Astaro, as it seems to be a problem that I got following a factory reset and complete reconfiguration (without using config restore). The permissions are set wrong on the file as described above - owned by root:root.  Will keep you posted.

    This seems to be a problem following on from executing a factory reset, and the workaround is as described by Bagira above.  Now on the buglist to be fixed in due course.  (P.S. It's a Secutrends A20 appliance with their software load).

    I have the same problem with my asg 320 / V6.1.
     I can`t enable "intrusion protection" after a factory reset ...

    If I load a Backup before I make the latest updates, it possible.

    What I have to do?

    Wait for the next update????????
