Mail Server Issues

I have a mail server setup behind my asl6 system. I only have 1 public ip and have dyndns setup. However, even with packet filter rules to allow pop3 and smtp as well as a policy route to route the traffic to the server whenever I use Thuderbird or any other mail app to try to connect to it, the connection times out. I never had this issue with my sonicwall. Perhaps I have me route setup wrong, any tips from someone with a similar setup?

    I just checked again, and the only unusual thing I see is traffic from the system with the mail client to the external interface over port seemingly random ports being blocked.(examples below). This must be somehow related as this traffic only shows up when the client software trys to check its mail and also the destination port is 110. The ports I am allowing/routing to the mail server are 110 and 25. On a side note, I'm not sure why that traffic above is being blocked since I have asl setup to allow all outgoing traffic.
