ASL not letting XP update time

I am using ASL 6.02.  

In Windows XP (on non-domain machines), if you click on Start-->Control Panel-->Date & Time there will be a tab labeled "Internet Time".  If you click on that tab, and choose time.windows.com (or any other external time server), ASL does something that causes the time update to fail.  This does not happen on a stand alone linksys router.

I have worked several hours to find the exact cause, but I can't find any packets dropped in the packet filter's live log.  I have enabled a basic Any-Any-Allow-Any (with log) rule in the packet filter but that doesn't seem to help.  I've got everything else (surf protection, IPS, etc. turned off).

Anyone experiencing anything similar?

Here's the reason why I need windows.com to work:  I have 2 media PCs and they attempt to download an electronic program guide.  If the call to time.windows.com fails, then the guide is not downloaded.  

Any help at all is appreciated.

    It turns out, the XP machines needed to have their time configuration cleared and then reset.  I did this as follows:

    1)  Stop Windows Time Service 

    2)  From Command Prompt:  w32tm --unregister  (note that you might have to do this twice if you get an 'accessed denied' error message

    3)  From Command Prompt:  w32tm -register

    4)  Restart the Windows Time Service

    That did it for me.  I could then see the NTP calls going in and out of Astaro.

    Thanks to all of you who responded.  I am very thankful for the suggestions and the assistance, without which, I couldn't be using Astaro.
