SKYPE -> Portscan detected

Everytime someone starts SKYPE, the firewall sends me a bunch of emails about a portscan. Is there a rule for SKYPE to stop this behaviour (we have al lot of students in our network and they all use SKYPE)

    skype is made by the same individual who did kazaa so these alerts are actually not surprising.  skype/kazaa will scan your ports to find an open on and use it...hence the warnings.  You have two choices..turn off portscanner detection or draft, write, disseminate, and strictly enforce a no skype/p2p policy.  This policy will have to be enforced by removing access to the network(by shutting down the ethernet ports) of the offenders for it to be effective..[:(]

    thanks for the answer...but this does not seem to be an easy task.
    Perhaps a feature for a new release "a disable all unwanted stuff" like the lockdown tool from Microsoft for their servers.

    unfortunatly there is no easy technological solution.  

    Astaro does that by default.  turn off all proxies and delete all packet filter rules and you have a totally locked down connection.
