ASL clients cannot connect to internet

Hi,

-The problem that I am having is that the Astaro box can hit the internet. Grab updates and ping websites, but the client computers behind the firewall cannot get to the internet.

-I am using ASL 5.203 on a machine w/ two nics.

-eth1 has a ethernet cord plugged into it,  coming directly from my cable modem.

-eth0 has an ethernet cord plugged into it going to my 4 port switch.

-eth0 is my admin NIC.

-My other computers connect directly into this same 4 port switch.

-I can access webadmin and ping the Astaro box from the client computers.

-I have the masquerading feature setup on ASL. 

-If you need further info, to diagnose the problem just let me know.

    Have you created a packet filter rule to allow traffic out?

    Main thing when setting up is to ensure MASQ rule is correct and Packet Filter rule set.  We can then work from there.

    -I am not sure that my MASQ is correct or not.

    -Here is what I have for my MASQ: 
            name: masq_int-ext
            type: masquerading
            network: internal(network)
            Interface: external

    -Also, I do not have any packet filter rules setup.

    -Can you give me some hints on setting that up, so that my clients can access the internet.

    Your MASQ setup looks OK.

    If you have no packet filter ruels set up, add one like:

    Source: Internal (Network)
    Service: Any
    Action: Allow
    Destination: Any

    Note - This is a wide open rule allowing outbound traffic, you will want to tighten things down later, but this should get data moving and prove it works.

    Have you checked the basics ?

    Can astaro ping and address on the internet IE google ?

    Have you set up the ASL DHCP server to deliver DNS addresses to clients ? and set the default G/W to the ASL box
