I am trying to set up an Astaro firewall. One of the main problems I am having right now is that I can't get reverse DNS queries to work outbound. I need rDNS to work because it is part of our anti-spam configuration. Inbound DNS and rDNS works fine to our internal DNS server. Outbound DNS works, but not rDNS. If using my other production firewall all DNS queries work fine, it's just when I cut over to Astaro that outbound rDNS stops to work.
My environment is using valid routable IP's (not private). So I don't know how this affects routing with Astaro. It took me a while to figure out that nothing would work until I configured Masquerading.
If anyone has an idea, I would greatly appreciate your thoughts.
